The Elements Tour profiles local and international
grand-masters of the elements of hip hop, as
well as providing a gateway for the new generation
of Australian hip hop emcees, DJs, breakers,
artists, VJs and beat boxers to represent on
the world stage.
Elements is a live representation of the defining
icons of global hip hop culture. The sound and
substance of global hip hop is defined by the
constant evolution of each of the 5 ‘elements’
that drive its progression (graffiti, breaking,
emceeing, deejaying & knowledge).
Elements is a national tour featuring performances
from the World’s #1 Turntabalist DJ Qbert
and 2times US Freestyle Battle champion MC Supernatural
and the top 4 emcees and the top 2 djs from
each Scribblejam state battle (held in April)
as well as local hip hop acts (TBC in each state).

ELEMENTS THE DVD
As a part of the Elements a tour DVD will be
produced around the tour and the national competition.
The DVD will feature back stage footage, live
interviews, and profiles with local and international
masters of the 5 elements.
ELEMENTS THREADS
Launched in conjunction with the tour, Elements
Threads is a clothing label that will be designed
by the head line artists on tour, creating ‘signature
edition’ garments that represent the musical
identities of those who have influenced the
direction and evolution of hip hop culture.
SCRIBBLEJAM
Scribblejam is the world’s largest international
hip hop ‘battle’ festival and one
of the most respected international hip hop
events on earth.
Run over 14 dates across the USA, Scribblejam
is the highest profile competition tournament
for hip hop
DJ’s Emcee’s, graffiti writers and
b-boys (break dancers). Divisional heats are
run in 13 cities around the US, with the eventual
winners going head to head to compete for $USD15,000
in prize money, as well as recording and video
contracts with US labels.
As part of the Elements tour, the Scribblejam
2006 battle competition will be coordinated
across Australia with the finals per state running
as a part of the Elements shows in each city,
with DJ Qbert and MC Supernatural judging the
competition. The winners per state will then
fly to Sydney to compete in the national final
on May 26th.
As part of the prizepack for winning the competition,
the National winner will then be flown to the
US to compete in the final round of Scribblejam
in the US – Last year; Melbourne’s
very own MC Justice was the 2005 Grand Master
MC Winner at the US competition.
